How to Season Your Air Fryer
#1 Air Fryer Tip – Properly Seasoning Your Air Fryer
Most Air Fryers have a “non-stick” coating. Unfortunately, the non-stick coating can only do so much, depending on how you have seasoned or sauteed your food etc. In order to help keep your food from sticking to the Air Fryer basket, it is important to season your Air Fryer before cooking. If you are only reading this post now and you have already cooked in your air fryer, don’t worry you can still season it. It will prevent it from flaking from this point forward.
Ingredients Needed:
- Coconut Oil
- Paper Towels
- Soft Sponge
- Soap
- Warm Water
Steps To Follow
Step 1: Using a soft sponge, soap, and warm water, wash your Air Fryers removable basket and pan. Using a kitchen towel, lightly dry both the Air Fryer basket and pan.
Step 2: Place the removable basket inside the pan and insert it back into your Air Fryer.
Step 3: Set the temperature to 400 degrees and timer to 5 minutes.
Step 4: Remove the pan / drawer after three minutes.
Step 5: Using a paper towel, scoop out some Coconut Oil and rub it all over the Air Fryer basket. Just a thin layer is needed. Place the pan and basket back into the Air Fryer, which will continue to stay on for 2 more minutes.
Congratulations, your air fryer has been seasoned!
